So, I wasn’t actually a ‘FRESH’ fresh graduate 😀 And, I’m writing these not as a HR professional but these come from my experience finding jobs in Indonesia. I went to Taiwan: lived and worked there while taking Mandarin Chinese language school for 2 years before I started to look for a full-time job in Indonesia. Just for basic understanding about my background situation: I graduated from a local university in Jakarta with Public Relations major. So, I was thinking that some tips and tricks from my experience might be useful for many of you who are still looking for your first full-time job after graduation (or after working holiday in Australia) 🙂
I did not get invitations for ALL applications I sent, but I did get invitations from some of the big and also multinational companies that I looked forward to. I smiled when I looked at those and of course I still remember some of the tough recruitment processes I went through. As I was scrolling down my old emails to free up some space in my Gmail, then I came across my ‘ancient’ emails to recruiters when I was starting to look for my first job in Indonesia after I returned from Taiwan.
